Activities include: teaching, building and maintenance, vegetable gardening, research, health education, clinical work, conservation and sport. There is plenty of allocated free time during which volunteers can make the most of local amenities, including: scuba diving (PADI qualifications available, snorkelling, sunbathing, surfing, cultural activities, snorkelling with whale sharks, whale watching, kayaking, quad biking and deep sea fishing. Nearby is the buzzing backpacker attraction of Tofo, which is always worth a visit, if only to pick up some beautiful, traditional local crafts.
